The Investing in Women in
Development (IWID) Fellows Program is sponsored by the United States
Agency for International Development (USAID) and managed by the Institute of International
Education (IIE). The purpose of the IWID program
is to make USAID programs and projects more effective by ensuring that
gender issues are integrated in the design and implementation of all
activities. This is
accomplished by placing mid-career US professionals in USAID Missions and
Bureaus, as well as implementing partners, in the field and in
Washington, DC.
